Re: Improved indexing of names on generated websites
When I tested this on my computer, the Tooltip looked great. But now it is on the site, it looks a bit odd:-

Craig, hopefully that is fixed now via the same OneDrive link but dated 23 June 2014.

Re: Improved indexing of names on generated websites
That is good, but I have a slightly revised version via the same OneDrive link but dated 24 June 2014.
I noticed on some browsers (Chrome/Safari) on some devices (iPad/Android tablet) the Search Filter took a while to appear, which might confuse users, because the advice says to enter in a box that has not yet appeared.
So this version displays the entire Search Filter almost as soon as the page appears, but faded to show it is inactive, until the page finishes loading.
Do you think the buttons should also say Please Wait while inactive ??
While reviewing the web page I noticed the new Search Filter design had moved the Surname & Names list columns.
So this version has restyled the columns to closely mimic the original FH width & spacing, and adjust to screen size better.
I checked the Search Filter in Safari and IE8 on Windows XP and have made tiny changes to the Tooltip as a result.

Thanks for creating this Mike. I have not used it yet though, but will have soon.
Personally though, I'm not sure whether displaying 'Please Wait' whilst inactive is a good idea though.

Re: Improved indexing of names on generated websites
Hi,
I used the updated plugin on www.mollekin.net/swintonpeople It seems to be working great.
What I've noticed though is that if a name is entered and the enter key is hit, the search box is cleared instead of proceeding with the search. But perhaps this was occurring before anyway

I am a little worried about Java. Most USA universities and many schools over here have recommended that you disable or delete Java as it is full of "holes". Many local gurus and speakers have voiced there concern over Java and I for one have taken this advice

Re: Improved indexing of names on generated websites
I know it is confusing and I understand your concerns, but there is a big difference between Java and JavaScript.
I also have Java Run Time disabled in my browsers for security, but that does NOT affect JavaScript.
JavaScript is used in many Web sites and is quite safe.
A Google search for Java versus JavaScript gives lots of explanation, but this one is quite succinct:
