I am using V5, and I have used the plugin "Add Assessment to Citations for a Source" which works very well.

Can I use this as a template so that I can set the "Entry Date" for all instances of a particular citation. I am not very familiar with programming but if the changes are small I can probably handle it.

Can anyone help

As an aside to the author Jane: There appears to be a small error on line 40, where if (ret == 0) then should be if not ret then.

Using the Plugin as a template is good thinking but may prove more difficult than you realise, especially if unfamiliar with programming.

The snag is that whereas Assessment is a fairly simple field with only 5 alternatives, Entry Date is more complex and involves Date Object structures, that are more difficult to use and need a more complex user dialogue to allow all Date formats to be entered.

I'll have a look at adding the entry date field to the plugin, but it might not be for a couple of days.

I think this will do what you are looking for. If it tests OK I will update the plugin store.
