When attempting to run Lookup Missing Census Facts 3.0 I get the following error:

Sorry, way back in V2.6 the Plugin allowed one more FindMyPast option, which makes the last option invalid in later versions.
Presumably you have only just updated from V2.6 to V3.0 ?
I shall add some defensive checks to the next Plugin version.
In the meantime please delete the following file and then reset your options in the Plugin:
...\Family Historian Projects\{project}\{project}.fh_data\Plugin Data\Lookup Missing Census Facts.dat
where {project} is your Project Name.

Yes... I just updated to version 3. I did as you described and all is working fine now.

Find My Past have had a website revamp, so the plugin result links for FMP no longer work.

Thank you John, I was aware that FMP had changed, but not had a chance to investigate the effect on the Plugin, and will update it as soon as possible.

There is V3.1 in my OneDrive folder via Lookup Missing Census Facts.
Could you please test it with all FMP sites (UK, USA, Ireland, Australia) and all Census records (UK, USA, Australia) before I publish it in the Plugin Store.

This should support the new URL format not only for new.findmypast.co.uk but also the other FMP sites.
It seems that the UK Personal Search interface has been discontinued in favour of the World Search style used elsewhere.
A side effect is that ALL FMP sites now appear to support UK & USA & Australian Census Records.

I have tried it with Ancestry.co.uk and Findmypast.com against the US and UK census and it is working fine for me.

I have tried Ancestry.co.uk and FMP Uk for US 1860 through to 1940 Results come up OK. Ancestry site shows UK and Ireland selected but does give correct US results

Yes, that Ancestry feature is new to me, and not sure what it does, because as you say the search ignores it.

V3.1 is now in the Plugin Store, thanks for checking the fix for the new.findmypast.co.uk.
