Quarter date format

I do like the FH format for storing dates as quarters. In FTM I stored these as 'Between Jan - Mar YYYY'. On import these are all stored as 'date phrase'. Do I need to go into each one and edit to quarter format, or is there a quicker way to do all at once?

Can you confirm the exact format by looking at the gedcom file.
Then create a temp file using the Q date format for each date. You should then be able to use a text editor, textpad or PsPad are good to search and replace each of the dates.

Thanks for your very quick and useful reply. This is a less obvious but very useful feature of FH, that one can do such editing in a WP, where the GEDCOM format is known.
My dates are stored as '2 DATE BET APR AND JUN 1873' I think this should be '2 DATE BET APR 1873 AND JUN 1873' presumably why FH reads these as phrases. Not sure if this was my fault or FTM.
I cannot find reference to Q dates in GEDCOM 5.5 (2 Jan 1996). Is this the latest, used by FH?

Fh is actually Clever about Quarter dates and stores in the GEDCOM as for example
DATE BET JAN 1980 AND MAR 1980
It then spots them on load and converts them to Q1 1980 for example. This seems to work well and keeps the file in 'true' gedcom format.

I suppose there's no easy 'find & replace' for my dates then! Still should not take long to search each 'bet' and put the year in.
I've just received my full copy of FH tonight, previously working on the demo, so keen to see how it goes.
Thanks again for your help.

You could probably use a global replacement expression to search for
BET ??? AND
in an editor which supports it, I can't think of an easy way to extract the year from the end to put in the middle.
