Importing from another genealogy program? This is the place to ask. Questions about Exporting should go in the Exporting sub-forum of the General Usage forum.

You need to install FH on your new machine and then copy in your GEDCOM file.

Can you confirm you have installed FH?

When you download any software, you should always keep a copy of the install and the registration key.

I will try and find a link to the V3.1 Trail so you can download it again.

You can buy a full license for FH 4 from
http://www.family-historian.co.uk/products/index.htm

The install issue with V3->V4 upgrade does not effect the full version.

The V3.1 Trail version can be downloaded from:

Ver 4 will allow me to buy boxed set but not download.
I see something saying if I have downloaded trial version I will have to unlock that. How, please?

On the page I sent you it's the second option down, says

Family Historian 4 (download)

Alternately, just un-install V4 and download V3 from the link I posted and enter the key you got when you bought V3.
