I imported a GED file from FTM but its put peoples' OCCUPATION attribute in the PLACES AND EMIGRATED TO FIELDS. Is there any quick way to sort it out (rather than the obvious tedious record by record way)?

That's a well know FTM problem.
If you are good with a text editor you may be able to do a search and replace but it depends on how you separated the occupation from the place when you entered the data.
You could try my little utility over the file prior to loading into FH and see if it helps.

Thanks for your reply. I fixed the file before I read your post. I used Notepad++, and its ctr+R advanced search/replace option to indent the records to make it easier to read. Then replaced the corrupted field name string to 1 OCCU and then tidied up the EMIGRATED TO bits.
Seemed to work fine.

After editing a file outside of FH I would aways do a validate (from the file menu on FH) to check nothing is out of place.
FH does one automatically when you load a file from another program, but not when you load one of it's files.
