Gedcom from Family Historian to Family Tree Maker

I have just bought an Imac and wish to transfer my Family Historian files to Family Tree Maker on the Mac. I have saved my files as Gedcoms but for some reason will not transfer across. Any ideas please?

I am afraid I know nothing about Macs (or FTM as I gave up on it years ago).
I presume you have copied the gedcom file to a usb stick or similar and are trying to open it with FTM

Jane, I'm using both CD and stick with the same results. It looks as if it starts to copy across and then stops

Are you actually loading from the USB direct into FTM?
If so, did you remember to use split tree helper to remove all the Named Lists, Flags and media records from your file?
You might be able to use the media records, but probably not as FTM does not export media I suspect it won't import it either.
You could always just run FH under a virtual machine if you have an old Windows license around.
