Exporting Templates using the Essentials Collection to Rootsmagic

Quick question: If I decided to convert my census records to use the essentials templates of FH, is there anything I need to be aware of when exporting to RM 9? (I haven't used them yet. Just wanted to make sure all the data would be included. It doesn't matter if it all gets stuck in the title or whatever of the RM source). I read a couple of old forum threads that seemed to suggest using the essentials collection was the best... I'd be using of course Mike's export plugin.

It depends on what you mean by "
all the data".
The
Export Gedcom File plugin Version 5.3 does offer some options that may satisfy you.
The
(RMT) Roots Magic Tree destination with
(+) Full Data has a setting on the
Extra Options tab of Source Template 1 _SRCT:
Reformat Metafields which is explained on the
Help & Advice page at
Export Gedcom File Extra Options Tab as follows:
Each
Source Template record becomes a linked
Note record.
Each
Source record
Repository metafield is copied to a generic
Repository link.
Each
Source &
Citation metafield becomes a labelled local
Note entry.
Each
Source generic
Title is moved to the generic
Short Title and the
Footnote becomes the generic
Title with style codes.
This option will modify each templated source record’s
Updated date/time stamp, which can be restored after closing the plugin by using the
Edit > Undo Plugin Updates command as advised in the closing memo.

Sounds good, thanks Mike for explaining.
