Move FH to new PC with individual records kept personalised

I want to move my FH 7 to a new computer, I can move either by import/export or restore but each time I lose the settings I have made to the individual records window.
Is there a way to move the complete project or gedcom keeping all my settings or do I have to make them again?

Yes, the important point is that Project Backups and GEDCOM files do NOT include most of the FH customisation settings.
That includes not just Records Window customisations, but also custom Diagrams, Reports, Queries, Fact Sets, Plugins, etc...
To preserve customisation settings it is necessary to run one of the Backup & Restore FH Settings plugins because FH does not provide any comprehensive backup capability.

Thanks to all for input, had problem using plugin so just customised some settings on the new computer as spent too much time faffing around with it.

To help our plugin development, which of the two alternative plugins did you use please? Can you say what you found difficult with it?

Hi Mark,
I used this one Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings plugin V3.5
I tried to follow the instructions but it just didn't work when I got to the new computer.
I can't describe any details but it is rather complicated when you are getting on in years.
So as it was only the Individual screen I wanted to customise I found all my previous additions were there and just need to select them and put in order I like.

Try using
Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings via Windows - it's the newer plugin and I find it a lot easier to use.
