Can somebody please advise when exporting Generations to FH, how do I change the level of the note field to 1 rather than 2 in order to keep the sources to the complete note. I have already imported one part of my tree but have had to type in sources manually. I am hoping by doing the above that the sources will also be transferred.
Thank you
Regards Ella

Re: In Generations changing Note
Unfortunately, Generations is very poor at exporting valid GEDCOM and may need multiple fixes.
See the very long thread Importing from 'Generations' (19180) that has loads of tips and Paul Wigan has posted other threads on other 'Generations' import problems.
See the FHUG Knowledge Base for Importing to Family Historian especially the section Import from Generations Family Tree.
I cannot remember offhand which of the fixes will help you but the Knowledge Base subsection Fixing the Source Notes looks promising.

Re: In Generations changing Note
Thank you for your reply Mike and I will carefully read through thread 19180 as you suggest. I have read FHUG Knowledge Base “Import from Generations” and it was from reading this that I was advised to change level of note field to 1 rather than 2 and it suggested I asked the forum for help how to do it if I was unable to. I used Generations for over 20 years and loved it. After having problems such as disappearing data I have changed to Family Historian and quite frankly am struggling.
Thank you for your help.
