I imported my family tree Gedcom from Legacy. It seemed to go well. However when I go to print an ancestral report the census and birth entries have lots of tab references - how can I sort this?
Example:
Dwelling Kirkinnner Village
Census Place:«tab»Kirkinner, Wigtown, Scotland
Source:«tab»FHL Film 0224060 GRO Ref Volume 889 EnumDist 6 Page 1
«tab»Marr«tab»Age«tab»Sex«tab»Birthplace
Thomas SKIMMING«tab»M«tab»59 «tab»M«tab»Glenluce, Wigtown, Scotland
«tab»Rel:«tab»Head
«tab»Occ:«tab»Carpenter (Master)
Jane SKIMMING«tab»M«tab»58 «tab»F«tab»Kirkinner, Wigtown, Scotland
«tab»Rel:«tab»Wife
«tab»Occ:«tab»Carpenter Wife
James SKIMMING«tab»U«tab»26 «tab»M«tab»Kirkinner, Wigtown, Scotland
«tab»Rel:«tab»Son
«tab»Occ:«tab»Carpenter Apprentice
Robert SKIMMING«tab»U«tab»20 «tab»M«tab»Kirkinner, Wigtown, Scotland
«tab»Rel:«tab»Son
«tab»Occ:«tab»Carpenter Journeyman

Have you reviewed the advice in our Knowledgebase about importing generally, and from Legacy specifically?

Fran, have you successfully imported from Legacy before or is this the first time?

Is it possible that those «tab» codes are in the Legacy database?

Was Keep embedded formatting codes within text ticked in the Legacy GEDCOM export options?

Are you aware that FH v7.0 now has a direct import option for Legacy projects that will probably be better than GEDCOM?
