* Export to TNG using Plugin Export Gedcom

Importing from another genealogy program? This is the place to ask. Questions about Exporting should go in the Exporting sub-forum of the General Usage forum.

Export to TNG using Plugin Export Gedcom

Post by Richard_Hyland »

I should welcome advice on export to TNG.
Using FH 7.0.2 and the plugin Export Gedcom File (Ver 4.4). I believe I have read all the advice and selected the correct options. However, in TNG, under the notes section of a source, full details of the source template are showing.
How do I stop the source template details showing?
Thank you.
Richard

Hi Richard, did you consult the Help & Advice for the plugin and its TNG options?

The linked Source Template is converted to a linked shared Note record but TNG appears to display it as a local Note.

On the Extra Options tab, there are separate settings for various features.

The lower left Source Template 1 _SRCT: setting can be changed to Remove entirely ( Std- )

Alternatively, try the Basic Options tab (-) Brief Data mode top left and review all the settings.
That sets the Source Template 1 _SRCT: setting to Remove entirely ( Std- )
It also sets other options to Remove entirely ( Std- ) which you may or may not like, e.g.
Named List Entry 1 _LIST:
File Root 1 _ROOT:
Research Note %d _RNOT:

Hi Mike

Thanks for the help. I have played with the settings and TNG is now showing correctly.

Yes, I did read through the Help & Advice but must have missed this part.

It would be useful to know what settings you found worked for you.
