I have my tree on Ancestry but on a Mac computer. I have exported it to a Gedcom file. How do I now import it to FH on my Windows laptop?
I am not very computer savvy!

Welcome to the FHUG Rose.

Not quite sure what you mean by having your tree on Ancestry but on a Mac computer ?
Ancestry is an Internet web based service that offers online family trees for any type of computer.
See our how_to:import_from_ancestry|> Import from Ancestry website advice that works via a browser on your Windows laptop.

Do you mean Family Tree Maker 2019 for Mac that runs on your Mac and synchronises with Ancestry online?
Family Tree Maker is a better option if you have attached Media images/photos.
See our how_to:import_from_family_tree_maker|> Import from Family Tree Maker (FTM) advice that should work the same for Mac as Windows.
To get attached Media images/photos to migrate into Family Historian they will need to be copied from Mac to Windows as well as the GEDCOM file, and will still need some 'fixing' to get them to appear.

If you have any further questions after digesting the advice then please do ask.

You may need to familiarise yourself with Family Historian before creating the GEDCOM new Project.
