* Importing quarterly dates from Legacy

Legacy has two options for exporting dates in the format "Mar Q 2017" into a Gedcom.

1. The date appears as "Mar Q 2017" when imported into FH

2. The date appears as btw 1 Jan 2017 and 31 Mar 2017 when imported into FH

Is there a plug-in or other way to convert one of these formats into my preferred FH format Q1 2017 ?

Yes, did you check the how_to:index#importing_to_family_historian|> Importing to Family Historian and how_to:import_from_legacy|> Import from Legacy Family Tree (LFT) that both mention how_to:fixing_dates_date_phrases|> Fixing Dates and Date Phrases where it suggests the Fix Date Fields Plugin that should work for format 1.

I did read the page on fixing dates, but not carefully enough.

It might be worth adding a line to the Importing from Legacy page in the Knowledge Base to suggest
Select "Don't convert British Quarter dates to a date range" with a reference to the Fix Dates plugin.

I have now used the plugin successfully.

I have updated how_to:import_from_legacy|> Import from Legacy Family Tree (LFT).

Are there any other useful bits of advice?

I tried ticking "Break note lines between words (old style)" using Legacy 8 and it messed up the wordwrapping

Yes, it would, as that is illegal Gedcom.
The KB does not suggest ticking that option.
