Hi,
I used Research targets in Genbox to track of my 'todo' list. You can link them to inviduals, events etc... very handy.
When importing into genbox they are "lost".
Is there any way to get this in FH ? I just used the FH 6.10 beta
regards
Marc

Re: importing research targets from Genbox
I trust you have checked out how_to:import_from_genbox|> Import from Genbox (How To)
Are you using direct import or Gedcom export/import.
Are there any options on the Gedcom export?
Can you easily attach them to a Custom event to the individual in Genbox, then they should either direct import or via a Gedcom file.
It's a long time since I looked at Genbox, but others might have more knowledge

Re: importing research targets from Genbox
Marc,
Read your post on the Genbox list, yet thought I would answer here to see whether anyone on the FHUG Forum might offer a better suggestion.
To import Genbox's complex system of Projects, Tasks, Correspondence, and all (Jim, this is a very complex and sophisticated To Do list concept) would require something at least remotely similar in FH to receive the information. That does not exist in FH at this time and I have no idea what Simon might be planning.
I see nothing in the Wishlist here on FHUG dealing with To Do, Work in Progress, Research, or something similar being requested for the future.
However, in the Knowledge Base you will find 'Create Work in Progress or Research To Do Lists' that offers two approaches adding additional tabs to the Property Box. One of those approaches might be what you want to use, however then there would be the problem of importing the data from the Genbox database. At least Bill provided the database schema for the Genbox database which might make creating an import script a bit easier.
Another possibility, at least going forward (requiring a bit of data input however) would be to use the Research Log and import system in Clooz to do your research, importing the results into FH using the Clooz to FH import links. (Note: Clooz just released an update for FH 6.1.)
Best,
Denise Moss-Fritch

Thanks Denise. I will try the suggestions from the knowledge base.
