I have just purchased Family Historian 5.

I have imported from an old Family Tree programme which appears correct when I look at the records, however on import, I have several Men with too many spouses (and sometimes the other way around). There are no details for these supposed 'spouses' and the diagrams show blank spaces. Can you help please. By the way, I have checked that the children are listed to both parents.

Hi Lesley, welcome to the FHUG.

Do your extra spouses look like this in the Property Box? If you click on the <no spouse> tab it should say Add Spouse/Partner.

Are there any Children listed on this tab that are already listed on another tab with a spouse Name?

If so, then in the Focus Window where the man is displayed with multiple spouses, look at the man with no Wife/Partner shown. Right-click on each Child and choose Unlink Record.

Finally when no Children left, right-click on the man with no Wife/Partner shown and choose Unlink Record.

If there are Children on the <no spouse> tab not listed on another tab then ask again for advice.
