I am tracing Rogers based around Clarborough in Notts.
I have stalled at 1715 and to try to expand further have widened my search to an area of approx. 25 miles around Clarborough.
From various sources I have come up with 100s & 100s of Rogers in that area, some substantial trees and some just a few individuals, coming forwards from 1715 and going backwards to the early 1500s.
Can anyone suggest a method by which I can compile all this random and (apparently) unconnected detail to enable me to compare and try to make connections?

You can just put all the information into FH, making new people when you are not sure then merging records as you build links. It's probably worth keeping it in a different gedcom file from your main family and move data across as you link it in.

I have several Gedcoms on the go at any one time just in case the families belong to mine. When I find a link between one and my Main tree I just merge the two (keeping copies of course).I also have people in my main tree that are 'orphans' in that I know they belong to the family but no one knows quite how ,for example I have a couple of people who are cousins on my grandfathers side who the family seems to know something about but don't know how they are related and the only peple who would know are sadly no longer with us!

Harriet Carter Rogers (born Clarborough, 1860) married into my wife's family in 1879. So far I just have IGI information for her Rogers ancestors (3 generations only). If you can find time from analysing your 100's of Rogers sources to see if my names fit anywhere it would be much appreciated. Please email me directly if you are interested.
