1841 census problem

Can anyone decipher the occupation for Mary Spencer in 1841 and do you have any idea what it means?  I think it says LS or maybe FS and it appears against several others on the page.  It is always against women not men.

The full reference in the 1841 census is HO107/2/23, Folio 5, page 5, Potton, Bedfordshire, Mary Spencer born about 1823.

I have always taken it to be female servant. Likewise MS male servant.

Thank you, Carol, for that useful link.

I found the part about recorded ages most interesting. It goes a long way towards explaining mismatches of dates of birth.
