Has anybody used this website?  Despite the help/faq only mentioning the USA, it appears, at least, to offer access to UK records.

Is it worth the subscription (currently between $29 and $40 depending on the package)?

Thanks

John

As far as England & Wales is concerned I don't think this site offers anything you can't already get via FreeBMD.org.uk and ordering thorugh the OFFICIAL web site - http://www.gro.gov.uk/.

Despite the official looking web page http://www.GovDeathRecords.co.uk is not an official government web site.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole.

On various newsgroups including soc.genealogy.australia+nz this site is being associated with the other dubious site http:// http://www.australian-ancestors.com/contact.asp. While this latter one is aimed at Australians this may be the UK equivalent as well.
Apparently they are based in Canada and certainly have no official status.
Buyer beware!

Reviewers on this website suggest it is a scam:
does NOT exist, but you don't find that out till you've paid your money and get redirected to an American site that does not search the documents you want. Gov-resources is not an official site, although it implies that it is. It says it offers 'free' information from official sources. DO NOT BE RIPPED OFF! This site doesn't offer anything. Once you've paid, you can't get back to it. If you start from scratch again, you have to pay again. I was ripped off, and I'm furious.
and
This site offers a service to issue replacements birth certificates, death certificates etc. They claim to be government affiliated. After placing an order and paying for a certificate,
nothing happens. You can't contact them. If you input your user name and password, it fails. If you write to them, you get no response....you simply lose your money. Their registered address is also fake, and registered to a different company that deals in porn!
Obviously I can't comment on whether these reviews are accurate but, I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole either!

I have reported this to Microsoft as a possible Phishing site.
