A close family member has asked me not to include her second marriage in my tree, it wasn't a good marriage. I've told her that I know of two other trees that includes it and have sent emails requesting them to remove him. Both have said no but they will remove his name and date of marriage.
So do I do the same or not enter it at all ?

You could do something similar and add Private details in the Note in [ [double square brackets] ] so they can easily be excluded in Reports, etc.
As long as the details are private on your PC does it really matter - the marriage did actually happen.
Furthermore, the details are in the public domain. Anyone can look them up online, and if really interested buy the Marriage Certificate from the GRO!

maybe it depends on what you are proposing to do with your tree.
If the tree is not available publicly, then I would include the details - the marriage was a fact and, however much your family member might want to, she can't change that.
If the tree is to be publicly available then perhaps you should include a second marriage for her but not include details.
There must be a lot of people who have information included in family trees that they wish wasnt, but if you include straightforward facts I cant see that you have done anything wrong.
Maybe it also depends if this person is close only in a family history sense (i.e. closely related) or close in a personal sense (i.e. you are friends as well as family).
I dont suppose this is any help at all, but may give you something to ponder.
