I have just found my uncle in Ancestry's WW1 records. What I have found is a 15 page 'Disembodiment' paper. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Disembodiment and discharge - he survived the war and was in the RAMC - the medical corps as a sergeant / staff sergeant.
Much of his service was home, but some was with BSF - is there a place where I can find out what this means?
Many thanks.
