* Help decoding census writing

On the 1881 census for Norwich, one of my ancestors, Edward M(arsham) Lark, is listed. In the female age column there is a word that appears to have been added later that I cannot decode. This entry is a bit of a mystery as all other evidence points to his wife being a Harriett (baptism entries of their children). It is possible that Harriett died and he married Mary later, but I cannot find a marriage that fits. I'm clutching at straws a bit, but hoping this might be the clue I need.

I can't decipher the writing in the 1881 Census, but the following should answer the Harriet/Mary mystery.

Harriet Lark(e) died Q1 1873 (Norwich Death 4b 68)
Edward Marsham Lark married Mary Bateman Q2 1877 (Norwich Marriage 4b 255)

I think it might say "Munic", short for Municipal, referring to his occupation as Municipal Relieving [Relief] Officer.

Brilliant! Why they didn't show up in any of my many searches I'll never know. I have the indices on Ancestry now, thanks Rodit.

Thanks everyone. Munic(ipal) makes sense as it was the workhouse for Norwich which covered all of the parishes within the city. Some of the admission books books are available on FMP and make interesting (if sad) reading.
