Hi,
I already have a subscription for FindMyPast (FMP) and use it in FH 7 for the automated internet matching.
What I'm wondering, is it worth me getting a My Heritage data subscription too? Will it find matches that FMP hasn't got?
Many thanks,
Isabel

My tuppence-worth: if you're looking for hints on European records (exc. UK) myHeritage will throw up stuff FMP doesn't have.
If your focus is the English-speaking world, then you may not get much value form it.

I found it to be of minimal benefit for my UK trees and now disable MH. Ancestry and FMP are useful complements, as they are strong in different geographical areas of the UK and different record types.

Re: FH & My Heritage vs FindMyPast
I've moved this to the Research forum as it is not an FH General Usage issue.

Thanks everyone, that's really useful. I'll stick with just FMP for now.
And thanks Mike, I hadn't twigged there was a research forum, that's useful

Re: FH & My Heritage vs FindMyPast
I agree with Helen, however, even MH doesn't seem to have a lot of IMAGES for Europe. For my Polish side I still depend on the Polish sites and FamilySearch. So if you have continental European ancestors, I'd recommend trying the repositories in each country as well as FamilySearch.ColeValleyGirl wrote: ↑16 Feb 2022 13:53 My tuppence-worth: if you're looking for hints on European records (exc.
