Can anyone tell me if this is the only information that will be available if I obtain a death certificate? I am assuming that this is not the 'official' death certificate.
The subject was my great uncle who was a stoker in the Merchant Navy, it appears he ended up 'down and out' in Sydney as an alcoholic. The are a couple of court appearances in newspapers for him in Sydney.
His brother was also in the Merchant Navy and may possibly been with him, or even reported the death (if that was how it was offically recorded). Is there anyway of finding out where he was buried (I assume at public expense)?

That is a cause of death certificate which would have been passed to the registrar to show cause of death.
I would expect that the death would also have been registered so you could check out
https://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/li ... ory/search
to find the registration.

at the bottom is a link showing what is included on certificates at different dates

Re: Australian death certificate -1935
I could not resist a quick search as I have not used that site before.
That revealed:
Name: MATHIAS PERCY
RegNo: 5422/1935
Father: DANIEL
Mother: MARGARET
District: SYDNEY
and that only succeeded with 13/06/1935 in the date range.
I've added that website to the research:useful_research_web_sites|> Useful Research Web Sites.
