Aye Savanna,
My wife has relatives, both Scots, who went to India, were married in India and had children there before the husband was killed; the family then returned to England and thence to Scotland. I spent a long time hunting for information and was able to find it by searching on the British Library website, under the "India Office, Family History Search" that they have created, the link is below.
"India Office, Family History Search"
The information I required was in "British India Ecclesiastical Returns, Births and Baptisms" and "solemnised at the Presidency of Bombay and registered in St. Andrew's Church".
I hope this helps you and others further in your research.
Good health and my regards, Bill

Aye Savanna,
There is also this link via the "FindMyPast" website that the British Library advises may provide more documents than they have listed online at present.

Dangerous to weigh in without full details but just to point out that the marriage that we were looking for was at St. Andrew's, Calcutta, which was in the Bengal Presidency, so the St. Andrew's that you mention above will be a different one. The link to the FIBIS Wiki above ends up on a paragraph referring to St Andrew's Bombay; St Andrew's Church of Scotland, Madras; and St Andrew's Church of Scotland in Calcutta!! Methinks the Church of Scotland in India seemed to have a restricted naming convention...

Sorry Adrian, but I cannot trace either of the earlier links to
FIBIS (
https://www.fibis.org/ Families In British India Society) and cannot find the paragraph you mention.

Aye Adrian,
The 2 references I quoted in my sentence: "The information I required was in "British India Ecclesiastical Returns, Births and Baptisms" and "solemnised at the Presidency of Bombay and registered in St. Andrew's Church"."
"British India Ecclesiastical Returns, Births and Baptisms" these are the British Library records where I found my wifes relatives records.
"solemnised at the Presidency of Bombay and registered in St. Andrew's Church" this is the inscription header on the pages of the registers that record my wifes relatives. They were residents of Colaba, Bombay, India, from the mid 1860's to 1877.
If this has caused you or others confusion or problems when trying to find their possible connections and information, I apologies.
My regards, Bill

The FIBIS link was
https://wiki.fibis.org/w/Church_records ... f_Scotland. That goes to a paragraph referring to several St. Andrew's churches.

No problem Bill - we'll blame the Church of Scotland for the multiple dedications to St. Andrew. No, I got puzzled about how one reference said that there were no films and yet you had seen some. By the time I'd worked it out that there were multiple dedications, so everyone was right, I felt an urge to just make it clear just in case others got confused. If, of course, anyone was not confused before but were after reading my reply then I apologise to them!
