With all the talk of DropBox has anyone used SkyDrive from Microsoft to store files and data?
It seems that it can be synchronised with any of your computers (PC/Mac), and files can be accessed from any other computer.
You get 7Gb free storage or 20Gb more for just £6 per year.
I believe my daughter in Australia uses it and keeps her PHD data there.
Any comments please.

There is advice at FHUG Downloads ~ Synchronise & Backup Tools under the link to Windows Live Mesh.
As you say, free space on Windows Live Skydrive has recently been reduced from 25GB to 7GB, but Windows Live Mesh still supports 5GB free.
Unlike DropBox, you can select any combination of folders, and they do not have to be moved from their current location.
So you can select your current Family Historian Projects folder, and start synchronising straight away.

I use Windows Live Mesh to both backup to Skydrive and synchronise a Windows 7 and Windows Vista PC.
The only snag is that occasionally FH reports that it is Unable to save changes... due to Windows Live Mesh temporarily locking a file while it is uploaded.
The workaround is to temporarily stop Windows Live Mesh.
