Scams with FHU attached

I am suddenly getting lots of mail which says
'suddenly my life has become worthwhile' and comes from email addresses as Joe bloggs@xxxFHU
Are these scams ? I have not opened them but it might be a valid thread ??

I think they just refer to Vote in the Readers Choice Award at About.Com
