US immigration records are now available to UK subscribers to ancestry at no extra cost.

This is free for the month of November. As well as Ellis Island records it includes Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco arrivals plus some Canadian records. When you do a search you can see 'immigration' under census, BMD etc

Having got an interesting hit on the Canadian Immigrant Records it is rather frustrating to read 'an e-mail link is provided at the bottom of each results page for those who would like to purchase a more detailed electronic transcript for a particular entry'. I see no e-mail link. Does anyone else?

Sorry I am a registered paid up member so I suspect I see different screens to you.

You probably need to buy a pay for view voucher, but I am guessing.

Jane,

I am a subscribing UK member, so, given that immigration records are supposedly free during November to such members, my question remains.

Have you tried accessing them directly from http://www.ancestry.com ?

I've successfuly freely accessed images of New York & Boston arrivals without any subscription this month. You do have to register but only with a username & password.

I have been able to find several arrivals in Philadelphia and I have also been able to see images of marriages in Canada in 1919/1920.

Nick: thank you very much; so it is not just me, there is no e-mail link after all.

kelvin: it doesn't matter whether I start from ancestry.com or ancestry.co.uk, there's no e-mail link.

kelvin, ireneB: thanks for your input but there are no images available for 'Canadian Immigrant Records, Part One', only the supposed email link for the purchase of more information (from whom, it is not stated).

If you click on Help at the top of Ancestry then select the email Ancestry Support tab you can send this back to them. I have reported bugs before and they have usually been quite helpful. I think they come back within about 24 or 48 hours.

The response from Ancestry Support is as follows. 'We are currently addressing the issues you are experiencing. The inconvenience is a temporary situation and hopefully will be corrected shortly.'
