Well, I meant 2011 for the release of the 1911 census, but presumably it won't be until (at least) the summer... (or have I missed a joke somewhere?)

They're saying it won't be released till 2012...but I think it should be April 3 2011, cos that'll be the 100 years.

Does anyone know if National Archives plan to make the 1911 census available on-line as they have with the 1901 census?

Peter,
Have a look at the National Archives web site (
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/1911 ... epage=news) they have details of what the current plans are.
