dvd as a presentation

its my mothers 60th birthday soon
i would like to put photos of her past and
present on to a dvd as a presentation
with music and the photos rotating and
being able to play on a normal dvd player
whats the best softwear or program to do this

Hi David,

ProShow Gold takes some beating, by Photodex Corp. I use it to supply dvd slideshows of weddings I've photographed. You can add music, change the timing of slides and transitions plus all the usual stuff like adding text and titles etc.
Good value and support at around £35 as a download. Though I'm sure someone will know of a cheaper one, perhaps even freeware?

I will second that, I use Proshow Gold, and I am yet to see anything better.
