Does anyone have any experience of using a plotter with FH? I don't think there should be any problems but I'd rather know before buying.

If you are connecting direct to the plotter rather than using PDF as an intermediate step there should not be too many problems, but beware of buying second hand printers from e-bay, as many are on ebay as there are no drivers available for windows xp/vista and in some cases windows 2000.
It's also worth considering how much you will use the printer and if it might be more economic to use one of the specialist printing firms to print your chart.

I have already had a chart printed which cost me £32. It was out of date almost immediately. I also produce charts for my cousins and other relatives and even though I can use roll paper on my A4 it is far from ideal. If I had bought a chart every time I needed one I would have paid enough to have bought a second-hand plotter instead.
However, I have taken on board your comment regarding printer drivers and I would need to check this out beforehand.
