Suffix - importing Gedcom files

I have imported Gedcom files from Rootsmagic - and want to display and print the suffix I have created in Rootsmagic rather than the numbers prescribed by FH. I hope ther is a simple way to do this - not very good with macros etc.!!
Any help would be much appreciated

What field are you talking about?
Is it a custom Id field or something else?
Where do you want to display it?

By suffix, I assume you mean the suffix to a name like Jr. for junior. Do you use this field for your own purpose to document some feature of your individuals? If this is the case you can use the Custom ID field for this. It's available on the Detail tab of the individual property dialog. Right click on an individual in the record window and either select Add Miscellaneous->Add Custom ID to add it in the record window, or select Properties after right clicking to display the individual property dialog. I'm not aware of any way to show custom ID fields in reports so you might want to place the information in a note instead.
The numbers prescribed by FH and showsn after the name in square brackets are the record numbers. This is the permanent ID for an individual which is used for speedy access to records and to help identify links between records (spouses, children, parents). The record numbers can be removed from reports if you look in the options for each report (you'll need to display a report first).

In the property dialogue, select the 'Detail' tab and halfway down on the right, there is 'Name Suffix'. I hope this is what you want.
