Change the colour of World War casualties??

Post by RosalindE » 16 May 2008 22:12

I have at least 10+ World War male casualties in my family tree and I am
slowly grasping the idea of the diagram.

Making mistakes but I was wondering if it is at all possible to change the colour of these type of the diagram people's boxes?

Thanks

Yes it is possible.

First off, you need a way of indicating which people are the ones that are WW casualties. The best way is to use a flag.

Then, in the diagram menu (you need to have a diagram open), select options, click on the boxes tab. Now select Add Condition and choose Record Flag from the pop-up menu. Select the flag you assigned to the 10+ people. Now you can either set the boxes internal colour (fill colour), or the text colour, or whatever takes your fancy.

I tend to go for varying thicknesses of box lines with different colours to highlight my different groups of people.

Thanks Jon and I will give that a try after the weekend as I have been neglecting the research also it's all
so new too.

I will have this open and the diagram at the same to follow your clear instructions.
