Bigamous marriages - recording them

Post by Johnfromhere » 04 Sep 2008 12:40

Is there an accepted way to record bigamous marriages?
I have one which was later dissolved and the husband then married (legally!) the woman he had earlier married bigamously.
I have not tried to enter the details as yet as I still have some research to do but I presume I can just enter the marriages and dissolution/divorce as they took place and hope that it gives the proper picture.
Any ideas please?
Cheers
John.

PS I am using version 3.1.2

I think you're right, just record the marriages in the normal way as they occurred... probably deserves a note to explain though.
