FH 7.0.9 Note Fields

One of the changes listed is "The cursor position was sometimes lost in note fields if you clicked on another window and then switched back. Fixed."

I don't know what to make of this. A long-standing irritation to me was that application switching lost the FH cursor position (skips back to start of field) in (possibly all?) note fields in main and citation property boxes.

Is that what was being targeted? If so, it still may not be working 100%.

My memory of past behaviour is full of holes, and I never did test properly, but now it seems to me:
  • Type into a brand new note field and leave the cursor at the end (or anywhere other than start).
  • Switch application and return to FH - cursor jumps to start of field.
  • Place the cursor anywhere in an existing note field, switching does not (any longer??) disturb the cursor.
So perhaps it is (now?) just the "new field" case that could do with some attention?

Did you raise a support ticket with CP on this problem?
If so, then return to it and let them know the fix is not 100% successful.

Nope, never bothered - just something I live with.

In that case, you could open a new support ticket at http://www.calico-pie.com/osticket/open.php and tell CP.
It is really very easy and might get it fixed sooner rather than later :D

Done, Mike. CP says it will be fixed in next release.
