Ancestry's hint update

Has anyone noticed that since Ancestry's last update, the 'hint' system has added an extra step for us to locate the relevant record which is deplorable, making the research even longer than before!
Do you think it is because the programmers are not researchers and thus don't know what we need, or is it Ancestry's way of making us spend more time on research so as to make even more money?
It seems to me that they've never heard of the old adage 'if it ain't broke don't mend it' they previously messed up the message system so that now takes ages to access!
