Thanks to Simon, whom I last interviewed at Rootstech in 2013, for fronting the camera with me again at Rootstech London. I have posted my interview with Simon, in which he talks about the development of FH version 7, on my Youtube channel.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. It was lovely to see you, even if it was just a little hectic.
Hope the rest of your holiday goes well.

I was very happy to see the FH version 7 that is in development at Rootstech London. It looks to have some very good enhancements which I look forward to.
I was also relieved as it had been a while since the last major release. I am coming up to retirement in just over 3 years and I was concerned that Simon had beaten me to it and decided to take an early retirement. I had started looking elsewhere in case I had to move on but now I can concentrate on making best use of FH and learning it deeper and looking forward to the new version.

This sounds as if it's going to have a load of things I'll find useful... but I'll have to rewrite the plugin I'm planning to release in the next couple of weeks

Thanks for the video @Jill sounds like we may be getting some bits off the wish list. The reporting features certainly sound like what we have been asking for. Now for a native Mac version

Or even a native Linux version - then I can retire WINE?

The v7 demo showed some really exciting developments in reports and also template source citations amongst other things.
