VGedX for Windows?

Post by Jane » 06 May 2015 16:10

The page in the knowledge base no longer takes me to a useful page for this program does anyone know if it's still available as a downloadable program?

Yes, all Tim Forsyth's stuff seems to have gone walkabout.

Yes, that is where the download links get redirected, but there is still no VGed, only VGedX, and only as online tool, not Windows executable download VGedX.zip/exe.

(I tried to run VGedX via both Facebook and Google login, but got nowhere, maybe because I am on XP at moment?)

Tamura Jones said back in Oct 2011 that Tim "Tim has terminated the VGED project. Version 3.02 created last year is the last release." So probably not surprising Vged isn't available for download anymore...

Not sure how good the Chronoplex validator is and I'm not aware of any other off-line alternatives.

Pity I just needed a windows command line validator for a project I am working on.

Thanks both for the information
