Christmas lights at top of page...

I love the fairy lights at the top of the page but I don't like them breaking and the loud noise that they make - each time something breaks I jump a mile and that's with the volume put down! :o

Some keyboards have special function keys along the top, or use the F1-F12 function keys together with shift. On my keyboard one these mutes (ie. turns off) the sound completely. Press the key again to turn it back on.

Most of the time any sound annoys me, so I only turn it on when I have something specific I want to listen to. Comes from my days of working in an office surrounded by people using PCs or laptops (and on the train)! Especially that silly cuckoo sound that some instant messenger programs use
