I need and old version of GEDCOM Census
I've not had any reports of Gedcom Census not working with Windows 95 but then I don't know if anyone else uses Windows 95 anymore! I wonder why it doesn't, I've been told it works OK on Windows 98. Can you let me know which version you used that did work with Windows 95 so I can have a think about what the problem might be? What error message do you get? If need be I can send you an old version of Gedcom Census but it would be nice to try to solve the problem and also know which version you want.
Another way to approach this: surely your laptop would run Windows 98SE at least? You could get a genuine Windows 98 upgrade very cheaply on Ebay (just search for Windows 98 upgrade). Windows 95 was far too buggy and unreliable, Windows 98 was a lot more stable.
Cheers

I need and old version of GEDCOM Census
Dear Nick
Thanks for your reply, The computer is a Toshiba 70ct which is a very small laptop about the size of a vidio cassette and has no CD Drive so updating to Windows 98 is not an option as I belive this was not available on flpppy disc.
The version of Gedcom Census I have is 4.2.1 it seems to install ok but when I try to run it it comes up with the following error message.
Runtime error 453 - unable to find entry point. setmenu info in user 32
I am running Family Historian version 2.3 as I think the new version 3 will not run on Windows 95.
Hope this helps in finding a cure.
Yours Chris

Not sure what would cause that error, its been too long since I've used Windows 95 (8 years now). I do have a copy of each version of Gedcom Census. The error message you are getting suggests it is a problem with the drop-down menus. These were introduced in version 4 so I could send you a copy of version 3.3 to see if that works for you and then work backwards. Please send me an email via the icon below this message and let me know your email address to send it to you.
