Hi Nick, I've just started using Gedcom Census so maybe I've missed something. When I browse to link an image I need to select 'Show All Files' as .GIF is not in the list. Can .GIF be included in the list as most of my census images are in this format.

GIF files are not supported by FH, I would recommend changing them to .png or .jpg ones.
If you have lots to do you can use the free IrfanView to do a batch change.

Thanks, Jane. I will fire up my IrfanView tonight. Would there be an easy way of changing the files I have already linked?

Assuming you use Irfanview to change all your .gif files to exactly the same name but with a jpg extension and that you have all these files in the same folders on your computer then firstly make sure you have a backup of your family history GEDCOM file. Then open it up in Windows notepad (you can do this by right-clicking on the file and selecting Open With... and then choose to open with Notepad).
Now use the Edit->Replace... facility and look for:
.gif
replace with
.jpg
and
1 FORM gif
replace with
1 FORM jpeg
Do this carefully making sure that the search is definitely finding multimedia reference within your file otherwise sentences in notes such as for example:
1.Gifts were given..
might suddenly become
1.jpgts were given..

Thanks, Nick. I will give that a try.
