I keep getting the following error, without any apparent reason.

Please check under the Gedcom Census Options the Folder where backups are set to be saved. If there are any permissions issues with this folder, or disk space is running out then this could cause the problem. Try creating a folder in your My Documents (e.g. 'GC Backups') and select this folder as your backup folder in Gedcom Census options.

Which version of Windows are using?
