Nick,
I have just found an instance in the 1891 census where the age of the youngest child is expressed as 3 weeks - I had to adjust this to 21 days to enter it via gedcom census. Is it possible to add an additonal 'w' option for the ages?
Many thanks,
Jeremy

Sorry but no it isn't. The GEDCOM standard doesn't allow weeks as a unit of age measurement and neither does Family Historian. It could potentially be stored as a custom date but then it wouldn't be able to be used in calculations, etc. and this isn't desirable.
You did the correct thing recording it as 21 days.

I'd always add a note (or perhaps 'text from source') to say it's 3 weeks, which in common usage means anything from over 2 to under 4. Recording 21 days implies spurious accuracy.Nick Walker said:

Yes Chris you're right and it could be added as a note but assuming you use the source text to put in a transcription of the census entry the age as 3 weeks would be recorded in there.
