I have just downloaded the latest version of Gedcom Census after having my hard drive reformatted and an extra hard drive fitted.
I am running Windows XP.

Previous versions have worked fine, but when I went through the initial setup, I changed the location of the log file and backup to the new hard drive and got the following message -

What have I done wrong?

My guess would be because there are no old records to transfer, can you tell Gedcom census not to move them?

Have you created the folders on the new drive?

Yes, I created the folders then used the change button to navigate to each in turn.

Ok it clearly shouldn't be showing the error message so apologies for that. I'm not sure what has gone wrong here. I'll contact you via email.

The error is caused by the fact that the folder that was previously set as the backup folder doesn't exist. This will be fixed in the next version. For now the work around is make sure the original backup folder exists by creating it and then Gedcom Census will allow the change of folder.

Hilary has done this and the problem she reported is now fixed.
