When dealing with a census date entered merely as '1911', why does Census Date Check persist in proposing as replacement the date of Canada's 1911 census, despite my having set 'Most of my entries are for UK', and despite there not being a single Canadian census entry in my entire file? Surely there's a way to make it behave more intelligently, by suggesting the appropriate UK date?
Cheers, Roger

Census Date Check
Sorry Roger I missed this for a while because of all the other forum activity.
Yes I agree, the date check form does need work, its not an area I prioritised really, partly because it wasn't something people asked much about so I wasn't sure whether anyone else was using it. I've been undecided as to whether to even include it in the new version I'm currently writing from scratch. I agree it ought to do a better job as you told it that your entries are mainly for the UK.

Thanks, Nick.
Please do include Date Check -- it's a really handy feature (at least for the way that I currently work). Just that little bit more built-in savvy would make it a real time-saver.
Cheers, Roger
PS: if you're crafting a new version, can I vote for the ability to edit existing entries. Thanks again.
