Gedcom Census amp; FH v4: File Won't Update

I've been using Gedcom Census quite happily with FH v3. Everthing works as it should.

But today using FH v4.02 with it for the first time since upgrading from FH v3, I find that Gedcom Census won't show added records in its individual's listing pane that I've added recently via FH.

Gedcom Census opens my FH file from the Projects folder okay, but any additions made since working in FH v3 aren't shown.

I've stuggled on all afternoon trying to sort this issue out... and failed!

Any ideas (simply put, please - I'm not techically-minded) what I'm doing wrong?

If you created a Project, did you remember to change the file Gedcom Census points at to the project gedcom?

Thanks so much for the speedy response, Jane.

The FH v4 file path I'm using is shown as DocumentsFamily Historian ProjectsJones. This is how FH v4 arranged my files since updating with V4.

On opening Gedcom Census and opening this file (...Jones) GC won't show any record additions I've made since using it with FH v3, and I'm not being promted with the usual 'Reload?' query, as I believe I should, as the file has been changed.

I can't see any other versions of this file for Gedcom Census to open: it is the only one I'm using, and I've double-checked the path.

Family Historian is working fine, and I have saved and opened up both programs a number of times to see if the problem will clear. It hasn't. It's all rather strange.

I would have expect the path to your gedcom file to be something like

DocumentsFamily Historian ProjectsJonesJones.fh_datajones.ged

This morning I sorted it out for myself, and now I've just read your reply. Jane, you are correct of course, and thank you for the response.

Yesterday I wasn't thinking straight; it wasn't one of my better days - and I'm so used to v3's way of working I was going around in circles.

Put it down to complete and utter incompetence on my part.
