Census-additional Information

Post by EddieA » 04 Jul 2011 11:54

Hi Nick et al
I've just run an 'individual census report' in FH4 and I get an 'additional information' paragraph at the end of each individual which lists an address. I assume this is the address field I have entered in AS.
My question is where is this info stored in FH? I noticed that my entiries were not consistent and, in some cases, missing and I would like to rectify this yet when I go to FH/records window/sources I cannot find the fields where this info is stored.
Can you help?

It is recorded in the address field within the Census Fact.

You may find the following forum thread useful as it discusses how to get the addresses to display in reports without it appearing as 'additional information': Topic: Using Census address in narrative reports

Thanks Nick
I also read through the link - very useful.

Here's an example of where it would be useful to call up the census details I'd input in AS - change the field and update with the new data.

Regarding the ability to manage Address fields that need updating, this is a long-standing Wish List item.
What is requested is a way of managing the Address fields similarly to the Place fields via Tools > Work with Data > Places.
This would assist not only Census Address fields but any Fact Address fields.

Visit the Wish List and Search for Address management, then open the item and Vote for it.
You have to be logged in to do this.
