AS media not showing in FH

Am I doing something wrong?

I am using AS to enter my census data and am including an image. Looking at the citation for an individual it shows the path to the census image. If I click on the camera icon underneath the fact it shows the view / edit media window with no link to the image. If I select the multimedia tab no images are listed.

If I go to the main menu and select 'View media for selected records' nothing is shown. If I select view all media then the appropriate census images are amongst those that are shown.

I suspect I have done something wrong, but what and how do I fix it?

How have you got AS set up?
Are you using method 1 or 2?
You may be attaching the images to the source as opposed to attaching to the fact

It sounds like you have the same misunderstanding as in the thread at Failing to Save Media Images where it is explained that the image is linked to the Multimedia tab of the Citation Source Record.

There are several references in that thread, that I advise you to follow up - especially the AS Tutorials.

Using Method 1

No idea about the images setup I just clicked the linked images button and add and save the image.

Thanks Mike I read that thread and reread it but couldn't work it out, that is why I started this one.

I have tried again and now I understand and can see the image.

Why are the 2 multimedia icons different? If they were the same I am sure it would cause less confusion if they all looked like a camera.
