1911 Census Records

Post by martinreed » 28 Oct 2012 11:11

I have numerous records where the 1911 Census shows the child of a family member has died 'mid census' In AS the Number of children born, living, died' is recorded but I cant find it in FH.
I would like to write a query just listing Born, alive, died records and would appreciate help with this

Assuming you use the AS Auto Text to create a Text From Source transcript, then by default that child data is stored in FH in the Source Record for the Census.

It is also possible to add it to the Note field of the Census Event for the Individual (usually the Wife) who entered it on the Census Return.

To set this option use AS Census > Census Templates and select UK 1911.
Select each Total number of Children... column in turn.
Change Recording: option to Append to census event local note.
(You can set this for any of the Generic column types.)
To update the default template, click Save and then Close.

If you would rather create your own UK 1911 template, then instead of changing the settings as above, simply click Copy and Cancel.
Now enter your own Country/Region (e.g. UK+) then 1911 and click New button.
Use Paste to initialise to the default settings, and then change the settings as above.
