1931 Canada Census template
Hi everyone,
I have created an AS template for the 1931 Canada census. Please note, I have included all of the columns from the schedule, so if you are looking for something briefer, you will need to edit it. It has worked for me for the first schedule I've entered. I hope it's of use.
As this is the first time I've shared an AS template I created, I hope it's all been done correctly. Please let me know if you find any problems with it - I'm happy to receive feedback. I do understand if anyone is leery of using something from someone who is so new to AS - I'm a bit leery myself of sharing as I'd hate to mess anything up for someone else. With those caveats, my template is attached.

Re: 1931 Canada Census template
Well you saved me some time, thank you.
I should add, this appears to be form 1a, which works for me. For others, they might have to edit it for form 1 and 1b, there are some differences.

Re: 1931 Canada Census template
Glad it was helpful. Form 1a is what my family so far was recorded on, so it's the template I went with. At least they have a head start if they need 1 or 1b
ETA: So, after responding, I was browsing Calgary, AB for my 2nd great-uncle, and noticed the forms are 1B... So I now have to create a 1B template as well

Re: 1931 Canada Census template
I need to make a second Census template for 1931 as there was more than one schedule used. However, I can't seem to make that happen. Will AS allow me to create a second 1931 template?
Or am I just note choosing the correct options?
Thanks

Make the 'Year' be something like "1931 (Form 1)", "1931 (Form 1a)", etc.

I'm unable to run the new 1931 Canada Census file as it shows an error, see:

That's because it isn't a GEDCOM file! You need to import it on the Census Templates page via the Tools menu and Census Template Editor.

Re: 1931 Canada Census template
Thanks, Nick - I wondered if that would work, but worried about messing something up. Now I know, I'll create the template for Form 1b.
